Amity Football Club is competing in Southern Districts.

Our activities at Girls High School are

Various classes that utilise the workout room and gym where students can come and workout in a non competitive, friendly environment. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

Run during term 4 lunch times. Students compete for their house teams in various sports such as Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball etc. House captains and vice captains are required to select teams to represent their house for this tournament. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

ISD stands for Independent Sydney and Districts Schools Sports Association and is the region that we participate in for interschool competition.

Run during term 4 lunch times. Students compete for their house teams in various sports such as basketball, tennis, touch football, Cross country, soccer, netball, athletics, futsal etc. House captains and vice captains are required to select teams to represent their house for this tournament. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

A tournament consisting of 3 different sports enabling students to test out different skills. They encourage girls (Muslim girls and non-Muslim girls) who don’t normally play but are interested in participating and getting involved in a sport. All day competition involving GHS students from year 7-11.

Students come to this club to train and improve on their skills. It is hoped that members attending this club will be placed into an afternoon competition once their skills improve and they are ready. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

Amity College have 3 GHS teams that will compete in the Liverpool Junior Oztag Competition which will run for all of term 2 (2016) at Wattle Grove. This is the first year that we are entering this competition as a result of the Oztag Club and the students keen interest in the sport. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

Has been offered to GHS students for the past 4 years. We usually go during the start of term 3 for four days. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

Last year the GHS had over 100 students participate in the ‘Colour Run’ at Centennial Park on a Saturday in August. We hope to do something similar this year. Open to all GHS students in year 7-12.

Our activities at Boys High School are

ISD stands for Independent Sydney and Districts Schools Sports Association and is the region that we participate in for interschool competition at basketball, touch football, cross country, soccer, athletics, futsal etc. Students tryout for these teams during selections that are held at lunch time, usually a month before the tournament. They then train twice a week as a team before the competition take places. The competition is as all day event where students play other schools. Open to all BHS students in year 7-12.

At Amity College, we put a strong emphasis on providing our students with an all-rounder education. The student clubs at Amity College aim to bring out the talents that students have and give them an opportunity to take the next step into professionalism. While students enjoy spending more time with their friends, they also get a chance to represent our school in different competitions and events. Recently we established the Amity Wrestling Club. Wrestling is a great way to build strength and stamina while also having fun with friends and getting active. Our Wrestling Club is currently open to all BHS students from year 7 to year 11.

The club enters competitions within the Sydney west school district run by the National Rugby League (NRL). We will also aim to organise friendly matches against local schools.

Training generally focuses on the basics of rugby league such as passing, tackling, positional play and team strategies. Open to all BHS students in year 7-12.
